Terms of Service

Welcome to Hookcrow. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hookcrow website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Service you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

Hookcrow is a video-anatomy template library that breaks down short-form marketing videos into reusable structural templates (hooks, bridges, value, proof, CTAs) along with AI-generated analyses. Features, pricing tiers, and limits may change as we improve the Service.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@hookcrow.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, mirror, or bulk-export the Service; (b) resell or redistribute Hookcrow templates or analyses as a standalone product; (c) reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying AI prompts or models; (d) upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or violates applicable law; or (e) use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any videos or text you upload ("User Content"). By uploading, you grant Hookcrow a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process, store, and analyse that content solely to provide the Service to you, including transmitting it to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you submit.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its templates, taxonomies, UI, and generated analyses, is owned by Hookcrow and protected by intellectual property laws. Source videos referenced or displayed on the Service remain the property of their original creators and are shown for educational and illustrative purposes. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Hookcrow's IP to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required to comply with law, or if operating your account would be unreasonably burdensome. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AI-generated analyses are best-effort and may contain errors or omissions; do not rely on them as legal, financial, or professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hookcrow and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice (for example, via email or an in-app banner). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
